PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Are you interested in development? We are looking for a Production Development Engineer to join the ABLOY production development team for an 18-month temporary role. As a
production development engineer, you will be responsible for the development of machines, equipment, tools, work methods, processes, and supporting systems of ABLOY’s production departments in collaboration with the line organization. In addition, in this role you will take part in our EMEA Graduate Development Programme

The duration of the EMEA Graduate Development Programme is 18 months, starting in autumn 2024. The programme consists of both local and international elements:

• An initial 6-month placement at Abloy Oy production development team in Joensuu
• A 3-month placement abroad
• A final 9-month placement in Joensuu

Given the nature of our programme, we are looking for an individual who is ambitious, keen to develop his/her skills and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You would be working in a team that is dynamic and fast-paced, with many possibilities to make a difference and add value to the business. You have either recently graduated or are about to graduate.

Requirements:

• Graduating or recently graduated from a university with a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent
• Studies focused on one of the following:
• Lean philosophy in the manufacturing industry
• Application of artificial intelligence solutions in a production environment
• 3D machine vision solutions and their application in the manufacturing industry
• Mainly present at the office/factory. Occasional remote work is possible
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
• Participation in the Graduate program, which includes a 3-month period abroad at another ASSA ABLOY location

It is considered an advantage if you have any of the following:

• Good data handling skills and understanding of statistics
• Enthusiasm to learn new things and the ability to apply the lessons in practice
• Experience in project work in a responsible role
• Experience in implementing artificial intelligence solutions in practice
• Experience in implementing 3D machine vision solutions in practice
