Description:

Norco is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Production Operator to join our Blowmould team in our busy milk manufacturing factory in Raleigh. In this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic blowmoulding machines, bottle bagging, debagging machines, labellers and coders.
The position involves shift work with the team currently operating 24 hours / 7 days on a 12 hour rotating roster, which includes weekends, public holidays and night shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and the ability to work in a safe manner
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (blowmould experience desirable)
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
  • A mechanical background / fitter background and demonstrated mechanical aptitude as well as advanced problem solving skills
  • Sound trouble shooting skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to work shift work
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork with good attention to detail
  • Sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills and computer skills
  • Understanding and commitment to continuous improvement activities
  • Forklift licence desirable (not required)
