The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Production Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the team located in Huntington Beach.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment (Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Process Modeling and Analysis

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Work with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Assist in implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Resolve technical problems and assist in the implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
