Responsibilities:
As a Production Engineer, you will provide technical support to maintain compliance and maximise the value of our Asset West fields in the Surat and Bowen Basins, through well integrity management, well availability, production optimisation, bottomhole pressure management, well intervention planning and artificial lift system design.
This position will be Roma based, working in the Roma office with frequent site visits, staying overnight in camp as required. The successful candidate will be living local, or willing to relocate for the position with the support of Origin.
- Make a significant impact to delivering the IG strategy through execution of Production Optimisation, well reliability, artificial lift and well intervention strategies
- Align with the Well Integrity Management Plan and ensure all well integrity issues are escalated and addressed as per the WIMP
- Assist Asset West site and control room frontline operations with day-to-day subsurface issues
- Collaborate with teams including Field Operations, Drilling and Completions, Reservoir Engineering, Process Engineering, Brisbane Integrated Operations Centre, Health and Safety to meet the business demand and minimise production losses
- Identify and implement workover opportunities to improve Mean Time to Return (MTTR) and Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) including assisting in artificial lift failure diagnosis
- Analysing, improving and optimising well design in conjunction with peer reviews and after-action reviews to capture the lessons learned.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within subsurface production operations that assures production in the medium to long term for the Asset Strategic Plans.
- Provide input into workover budget planning, Production Optimisation, Brownfields Projects and Well Reviews with the Well Performance Team and Reservoir Engineers
- Assess, rank, justify and implement production uplift and debottlenecking opportunities
