Description:
SUMMARY
Lead a team of clerks and runners that Prints and records case labels, assure all finished good pallets are properly moved and verification forms and USDA certificate labels for production. Assists with daily start up in packaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Regularly check e-mail for any changes in production schedule
- Print case labels for specific customers (Canada and National)
- Verify and print the correct amount of USDA certificate numbers for Canada orders
- Print label verification forms for each work order
- Assure the warehouse kits the correct number of bumper stickers for each order
- Work with warehouse to ensure that there is sufficient inventory of blank labels and ribbons needed for printing
- Monitor and file all documents (USDA Stamp Log, label verification forms, etc.)
- Train Production Label Clerk in correct and any updated process
- Assure clerks use the proper tracking tool for sub-lots
- Assist Packaging Label clerks with creating pallet tags in the X3 system as needed
- Audit Pallet Tracking sheets to insure correct pallets and case counts
- Manage the team of runners to support timely movement of finished good pallets to freezer
- Actively review the accuracy of labels printed versus sub lot(s) physically on the line
- Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience and/or training are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Proficient working knowledge, or the ability to learn, the ERP system (X3) and label printing software (Bar Tender).
- Good knowledge of secondary packaging and product line (Canada and US).
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel especially) is required.
