Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd. was founded in 1993 to provide Foodservice Customers with a fresh alternative. We are seeking a Lead Hand for our Production Line to supervise and train our production teams in preparing fresh, healthy produce related products for our growing foodservice customers. Work Schedule:
7:00am - 4:30/5:30pm, Sunday to Friday with one day off during the week and off every Saturday. Flexibility required as some days are longer than others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead department within the production lines to complete daily production duties/tasks.
  • Provide training for new team members.
  • Provide coaching and support for production team employees.
  • Monitor and maintain vertical form filler machine.
  • Ensure that all documentation and checks are being completed throughout your shift.
  • Ensure all SOP’s are being followed.
  • Communicate with Supervisor and Production Manager to ensure equipment has been checked and/or repaired and has been sanitized prior to running production.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to throughout the entire plant.
  • Assist employees on a hands on as needed basis.
  • Work efficiently to increase overall yield.
  • All Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Supervisor experience a must
  • Previous employee training and coaching experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience on vertical form filler preferred
  • Secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food processing facility required
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule which include nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
