Description:

  • Gross Salary up to $6,500 with AWS + 2 months bonus
  • Working location at Jurong Island
  • Working Hours: 7.15am to 7.15pm (12 hours shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly follow written and verbal directives to safely and efficiently operate plant equipment, manage site services, and handle vehicle loading/unloading. The specific responsibilities may differ depending on the site.
  • Identify and propose safety and efficiency enhancements within the work area, participating in multidisciplinary teams to prioritize and implement these improvements.
  • Effectively communicate with production team members and other onsite functions (e.g., maintenance, planning, logistics) through verbal, email, and written means, ensuring clarity and accuracy in communication.
  • Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as the safety of others potentially affected by one’s actions. Adhere to site-specific safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards, including risk assessment, permit compliance, and incident reporting.
  • Understand the importance of attention to detail and adherence to instructions, recognizing the potential consequences of oversight or incomplete adherence.
  • Make routine operational decisions following established procedures, seeking guidance from line managers or team leaders for non-routine decisions.
  • Efficiently plan and organize work and materials for the current shift and prepare for the upcoming shift in the assigned area, aligning with site logistics and production plans. Ensure safe and effective shift handovers.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new team members in their respective roles.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as required (level of maintenance activity varies by site), including preparation of equipment for maintenance activities based on instructions.
  • Conduct agreed-upon analytical testing as needed (level of analytical activity varies by site).
  • Identify and manage emergency situations according to established procedures, potentially participating in site emergency response activities outside regular hours in some sites.

Requirements:

  • NITEC / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, minimum 4-5years experiences in chemical, petrochemical and oil & gas industry
