Description:

Red Table Foods is currently looking to fill a position for Production Maintenance , at our head office in South Edmonton (3790 98st NW).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Solid understanding of rotating and stationary equipment maintenance as well as preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Basic technical, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing skills.
  • Moderate computer skills would be an asset.
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent comprehension and command of the English Language.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts, night shift, overtime and weekends when required
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance, procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Assist with monthly building maintenance and safety compliance.
  • Light building maintenance, which includes changing light bulbs, basic maintenance inspections, washroom maintenance, repairs door, walls, floors, etc.
  • Respond to basic emergency maintenance request as required.
  • Replace water filters on a regular basis.
  • Ensure safe and effective installation, modification, and replacement of machinery and parts.
  • Maintain a spare parts inventory and order spare parts according to procedures.
  • Maintain all plant equipment and supplies.
  • Work during scheduled shutdowns, shift work, and, when necessary, overtime hours to accommodate scheduled maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure that the necessary paperwork such as daily work time sheets and log reports are complete and accurate.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.
  • Work with machinery which includes conveyors, packaging machines, labelling machines, process equipment etc.
  • Perform repairs on plant equipment in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties on plant equipment such as cleaning, greasing, oil changes, filter replacements.
  • Work closely with plant personnel to ensure equipment is in good, sound working condition.
  • Know the safe effective use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot all mechanical & electrical equipment in building.
  • Report unusual hazard circumstances or deficiencies
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Follow all proper maintenance, sanitation and Health & Safety protocols at all times.
  • Reporting any equipment problems in a timely manner.
