Description:
A. The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of a safe, efficient, reliable and cost-effective aseptic dispensing and manufacturing service, shaping strategic direction in consultation with the AccountablePharmacist (Technical Services). B. Deputise for the Accountable Pharmacist (Technical Services) should professional registration allow deputising as the Accountable Pharmacist in their absence.
C. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the aseptic dispensing and manufacturing activities comply with all current statutory obligations, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) D. Assist the Accountable Pharmacist with implementing service improvements and developments in the aseptic unit in line with best practice and current guidance, taking a lead on identified projects. E.
They will be professionally and managerially responsible for the development, management and coordination of staff working in the PASU, ensuring that education, training, validation and competencyassessments are all relevant, up to date and of the appropriate standard. F. Collaborate with the pharmacy systems managers and the Deputy lead pharmacist Technical Services to manage the pharmacy aseptic preparation aspects of the electronic pharmacy system through robust quality management systems. This involves facilitating developments of the system, e.g.
implementation of a separate stock holding for aseptic services, implementing new versions of software, and training PASU staff in the correct use of the system. Please also refer to attached job description including person specification for more information
