Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Manager reporting to the Plant Manager. As a Production Manager you will be working closely with both Operational and external departments to ensure our primary focus is HSE whilst optimising our production processes, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, a data driven analytical approach, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between all departments whilst developing the team and our production skills to achieve best in class within the John Crane group. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Production Management across a range of processes including machining and assembly and test supported by demonstrated results in Sixth Sigma/Lean. The role requires a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced complex Make to Request / Engineered product environment whilst developing strong engagement within the team within a unionised environment.
This role is a full-time role based from our Headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday in normal hours.

Responsibilities:
- Execute daily operational focus to ensure seal day rate is understood and achieved in all operational areas
- Develop and execute standardised production processes to optimise output with current resources whilst developing and executing a plan for requirements for future capacity increase to meeting 1-5 and 5+ year business requirements.
- Work with the Transformation Team to optimise Visual Factory
- Provide leadership and direction to the team whilst creating and developing a flexible organization with clear successional planning in place
- Executing production plans across all operational areas of the business to achieve original promise date.
