Our client in Toronto, ON is actively looking for a Production Manager to join their team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Production assembly experience or exposure at supervising level (preferably in cosmetic and/or packaging industries), or equivalent experienceExcellent business communications skills

    • clear and concise in oral and professionally mannered in written • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Visio, Word, etc. Preferably MRP/ERP exposure)

    • Post-secondary education or professional involvement in the following areas: Operations management, Manufacturing Process Enhancement, Material Flow, Continues Improvement, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee Production shift daily activities
    • Manage daily production scheduling, planning, 5S development and maintenance
    • Train, coach and motivate staff to ensure good morale as well as a high level of productivity, quality and safety
    • Organize and ensure the timely and accurate flow of production to meet deadlines and quality/safety targets • Provide training and coaching to new and existing employees to ensure a safe and clean production facility
    • Manage relevant paperwork associated with departmental WIP ‘Work In Progress’
    • Supervise processing lines and ensure adequate staffing of lines
    • Analyse all production related issues over product rejection, material shortage, high wastage and customer complain, safety etc. and communicate with appropriate individuals until the issues get resolved
    • Setting up new productivity standard for new products, improve productivity by minimizing downtime, maximize use of machine and minimize manual job and recommend better way of working
    • Respond urgency quickly, expedite work changing when necessary
    • Manage and monitor employee attendance for Payroll purpose
    • Implement initiatives aimed at improving processes, safety and efficiencies while achieving cost reduction
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
