ABOUT THE ROLE:
Norco AgriSolutions is currently seeking a Production Manager to lead the team at our Feed Mill located in Lismore, Northern Rivers, NSW.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, overseeing the day-to-day operational activities at the facility, ensuring efficient production of high-quality outputs and achieving desired delivery expectations.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
- Support the Site Manager with daily activities on site at the mill.
- Schedule production to enable best utilisation of plant and assets.
- Schedule daily truck loads and communicate with customers to optimise cost effective loads.
- Lead and support the production team, promoting a positive working environment.
- Manage preventive Maintenace program.
- Monitor all quality aspects of production including Feed Safe audits.
- Participate in and monitor QA checks on feed to ensure operational and QA requirements and customer expectations are met.
- Comply with and supervise others in a manner to ensure compliance with Norco’s policies and procedures.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
- Previous experience in manufacturing.
- Experience and understanding of stock feed milling processing procedures, highly beneficial.
- Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture/Animal Health or relevant industry experience would be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- High focus and commitment to WHS.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Self-motivated with good problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong Computer skills with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite.
- Display behaviours that are consistent with Norco’s values of authenticity, connection, diversity and agility.
- Forklift and driver’s license essential.
