Description:
Based at Lindsay Production Manager will plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. To oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and processing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study (this may vary)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industrial ingredient industry (this may vary)
- Must pass a drug test and background investigation, as necessary for the position
- Ethical and punctual, fulfilling obligations as promised
- Must be dependable and reliable, following the schedule as set
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Motivate, support and provide guidance to production staff
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
- Collect and analyses data to find places of waste or overtime
- Commit to plant safety procedures
- Track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Address employees’ issues or grievances.
