Description:
The Jonsson Manufacturing team is responsible for bringing our garments to life by consistently producing high quality product in order to serve our customers brilliantly. Part of Jonsson Manufacturing is based in Lesotho and manufactures most of the Jonsson Workwear apparel products across 7 factories, a centralised Cutting Room, Customisation Facilities and an Industrial Laundry.
The Production Planning Leader is responsible for planning and aligning production resources and raw material supply with customer demands ensuring on time in full delivery and ultimately serve our customers brilliantly.
THE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Relevant university degree with outstanding academic achievement.
- Extensive planning experience in the clothing or textiles sector.
- Fast React and Syspro systems experience.
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office with advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Valid passport.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all finite manufacturing planning.
- Work on planning boards on Fast React for 45 – 50 production lines, covering a wide range of products.
- Plan cutting orders on the planning boards, ensuring that the correct products are planned on the respective production lines.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the products that you operate with.
- Work closely with the Factory Leaders and Durban-based high-level planners to ensure production lines are planned efficiently and find solutions to challenges that may arise.
- Hold the Factory Leaders accountable to ensure the on time and in full delivery of all our production orders.
- Work flexibly, prioritise orders, and make the required changes daily to ensure delivery dates are met.
- Operate within the larger team with constant communication with the Marking, Forecasting and Procurement teams.
- Manage outwork loads (embroidery/screen printing).
- Monitor factory and production line efficiencies.
- Accurately and proactively manage the throughput times in factories.
- Communicate and streamline work from the Fabric/Trim Stores to the Centralised Cutting Room and factories within the required throughput time.
