Description:
PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with Cultivation, Inventory and Sales/Commercial departments to create Production schedules to align with sales & demand objectives, inventory levels and plant growth cycles/lead times.
- Prepare and distribute weekly Production schedules to meet demand forecast.
- Communicate and collaborate daily/weekly with Production Manager, Production supervisor, General Manager & Planning team to schedule all Production needs or communicate when timelines need adjustment.
- Design, utilize and maintain various Spreadsheets/Reports to aid in the tracking and analyzing of the efficiency and success of Production operations.
- Monitor Production performance against targets, analyze variances, identify risks, and resolve scheduling issues to prevent delays to shipping.
- Report Production KPIs and metrics and provide feedback and analysis on output, progress, productivity, workflow, and quality. Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Production reports for Supply Chain analysis.
- Review both long and short-term forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity, material or operational issues.
- Manage inventory levels of all flower and allocate material to be shipped based on specifications, supply and cost.
- Adapt to changing demands urgently and unexpected disruptions, requiring timely communication across multiple departments to ensure Production goals are met.
- Assist in Quality Assurance investigations, deviations and CAPAs by providing and analyzing historical Production data.
- Fill in and act as a backup for the Cultivation Scheduler.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the cannabis, pharmaceutical or CPG industry.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast paced, growth environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to communicate across multiple work groups.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Selfmotivated with a strong attention to detail and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical mindset.
- Ability to be resourceful and problem solve in a busy environment.
- Capable of assimilating and learning new information in a constant changing environment.
- Postsecond education in Business, Supply Chain or related field would be considered an asset.
