JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Production Scheduler to join our team. The Production Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. They report directly to the VP of Operations and are highly collaborative with all departments. They are the center point of information regarding production timelines and are responsible for keeping all parties informed, you will facilitate smooth operations and minimize disruptions. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and customer service teams to understand demand forecasts and prioritize production accordingly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and production capacity to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with production lead hands and managers to schedule manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.
  • Communicate production schedules and any changes to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, purchasing departments, and management.
  • Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or production issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocations.
  • Implement and adhere to safety and quality standards in all production scheduling activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
