ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our Production Team at our vegetable plant in Ashburton.
This is a full-time role, work on 12-hour shifts, 4 ON 4 OFF roster, Day or Night shift.
Your pay rate is $29.70/hr.
The Production Senior Operator is accountable to ensure the operation of equipment, and completing the necessary quality, safety, and plant checks to meet production and customer demands within business parameters.
The Production Senior Operator is responsible for ensuring that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
In the absence of the Production Lead, the Production Senior Operator is accountable to cover the Lead, oversee the manufacturing process ensure that production targets are met and that quality standards are maintained and to ensure that all safety procedures are followed.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

• 3 years of experience in a production environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate the work of a team effectively.
• Computer skills – intermediate plus across all MS programmes.
• Strong English speaking and writing skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) excellence
• Self-motivated
• Being proactive and flexible in approach to job tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow strict procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
