Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey in the heart of maritime innovation? Norsepower, a pioneer in sustainable shipping solutions, is bringing sails back to shipping – and saving the planet at the same time. We are now seeking a dynamic and development-oriented Production/Service Engineer Trainees to join our team.
Norsepower Rotor Sail harnesses the wind to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions of ships. It is the first commercially available mechanical sail for large vessels. It has a proven track record of successful operation since 2014. Norsepower’s project services cover all phases from sales to project delivery and operational support. Each project is planned according to the client’s needs and preferences.
As a Trainee, you will engage in hands-on work, assisting our engineers with mechanical installations, site preparations, and maintenance. Additionally, you will participate in warehouse and logistics tasks and support procurement. Your days will be diverse and varied, including tasks such as receiving goods on-site or changing mechanical components. You don’t work alone, you will have the support of our experienced experts who assist you. The role can be modified based on your skills and interests. You also have the opportunity to complete your thesis with us. Following graduation, exciting and varied career paths await you within our organization.
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have a relevant study background and good technical skills. We also appreciate a hands-on attitude and problem-solving mindset. We hope you would be interested in coming to the office 2-3 times a week, fostering a collaborative work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Suitable study background (e.g. mechanics, electrics, or automation)
- Some experience in the manufacturing sector
- Understanding of the technical drawings
- Readiness to travel regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive working style
- Have full working proficiency in English
BONUS SKILLS
- Good skills with CAD or other design tools
