Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire, has built an excellent reputation over the last 25 years. Today, our chefs, working in partnership with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.
As our new Production Shift Manager, you will manage and develop a team of around 45 colleagues to achieve demanding KPIs. You will need to have experience in leading and developing a team while achieving performance improvements to help us achieve our business goals.
You will be a strong team player with the drive to encourage others to succeed and you will always be customer-focused to help us achieve the best quality possible. As we continue to develop our ways of working through systems and processes we are looking for candidates who have the experience to support this journey.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Food production operations management or manufacturing experience essential
  • HACCP, food safety and hygiene
  • You must be self-motivated to achieve and CI focused
  • Be used to a fast-paced chilled food environment
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft packages and have an understanding of ERP systems/shop floor data systems
  • Ability to make objective decisions taking all factors in to account
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused
  • Working on Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Experience working on advanced manufacturing and work order management

Responsibilities:

  • Managing, coaching, developing and engaging teams in all areas
  • Promoting a great health and safety and food safety culture
  • Managing the order fulfilment conformance to budget
  • Lead continuous improvement
  • Monitor and oversee all production control documents and ensure relevant paper work is completed accurately
  • Complete regular shift review meetings to communicate achievements and push/develop targets
  • Work in partnership with key departments including engineering and hygiene to achieve maximum results
