Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Production Supervisor role engages in successfully operating a variety of machines to manufacture products by performing duties personally or through subordinates. The Supervisor maintains a safe practice work environment while completing set goals in an efficient manner and handles any situation in an autonomous manner while keeping excellent communication with subordinates and Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Previous management history.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be able to pass physical and fit testing for respiratory protection.
  • Must be capable of standing or sitting for long durations.
  • Must have first aid, CPR, and AED certificate.
  • Must have forklift license (propane, electric, aerial platform, and turret).
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must excel in battery knowledge.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Management history of minimum 2 years.
  • Management training incorporated through Cirba Solutions.
  • Forklift license for minimum 2 years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities:

  • Feeding material into machinery via operation of forklift.
  • Stage material feed stock and calculates the goal weight.
  • Operates various machinery as needed.
  • Changes out filled finished product containers via operation of forklift.
  • Perform/assist in machinery and/or building maintenance as needed.
  • Enforces use of mandatory PPE.
  • Performs walk-throughs with handheld IR camera for thermal run-away detection.
  • Reworking material to meet standards.
  • Enforces cleanliness in the work area.
  • Opens and closes shift: machinery and facility.
  • Prepares and loads trucks with finished product.
  • Appraises and/or rewards exceptional employees with approval of Management.
  • Responds immediately to issues and possible disciplinary actions.
  • Helps Assistant Manager maintain all government logs.
  • Maintains inventory logs through specialized software.
  • Creates and communicates Incident Reports.
  • Able to respond to emergency situations safely and calmly.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
