The Production Supervisor is a highly self-motivated, quality conscious professional who coordinates, manages, and supervises the daily production line activities of associates with diverse backgrounds, to achieve current production goals and expectations within a high level, lean manufacturing environment. This position hires, plans, and assigns work; trains, motivates, manages performance; recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Must be knowledgeable of GMPs, SSOPs, CCPs, and USDA and/or FDA guidelines. This position assumes responsibility for Company Store/Laundry, Production, Receiving, and Shipping Processes in the facility. Expected to follow all E.A. Sween Company, department and safety policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates’ degree.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Must have previous experience in food manufacturing and/or clean room environment.
- Previous quality control experience a plus.
- Previous machine operator experiences a plus.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Prefer experience supervising employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Prefer basic computer skills in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Previous quality management experience.
