Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a production capacity, manufacturing or related field
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Understanding of quality system and maintaining of system.
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items
  • Strong knowledge of Visual and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise employees.
  • Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing practices as needed.
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Must have prior manufacturing experience
  • Must be able to work accurately with mathematical calculations
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Must be able to communicate with others
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Experience with heavy machinery
  • Certified in first aid and forklift operation an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers.
  • Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other units.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Coordinate training of staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policy.
  • Keeping Visual up to date and accurate on a daily basis, including inventory, receipt of purchased goods and raw materials, and issuance of materials.
  • Tracking inventory of all raw and finished goods, doing cycle counts as required, to ensure that Visual is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records / reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
  • Ongoing contribution to any related continuous improvement initiatives through development, implementation and support.
  • Address and resolve employee complaints/concerns
  • Work with Maintenance Lead to schedule repairs & Maintenance
  • Other tasks to support production or as otherwise required.
