Description:

One of our manufacturing clients in Port Colborne, ON is looking for an Production Supervisor for their facility.
Shifts - Continental

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Completion of post-secondary education in chemical or mechanical technologies, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience within the food or chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities as an internal candidate, or a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing supervisory or management role, preferably within the food manufacturing or a related field.
  • Experience with DCS or similar process control equipment.
  • Proficient and adaptable decision-maker, utilizing critical analysis techniques with available information.
  • Ability to drive change and inspire a culture of continuous improvement.
    Innately motivated to learn and gain a deeper understanding of plant processes.

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Leadership Group, oversee Safety and Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, policies, and protocols.
  • Guarantee that delivered products meet or surpass established quality standards.
  • Supervise the training and performance of Production Technicians.
  • Take charge of process control for Wet Milling, Co-Product Processing, Enzymatic
  • Glucose Refining, and Royal Production in continuous operations.
  • Initiate practical continuous improvement (kaizen) efforts to enhance safety, operational outcomes, and sustainability.
  • Maintain a state of readiness for departmental audits, encompassing Housekeeping,
  • Kaizen, and FSSC compliance.
  • Foster effective communication within the Glucose Management Team and foster interdepartmental collaboration.
