Description:

Our Production team is looking for an Production Supervisor to help us support the daily management of the production department: supervising the department and staff and be the go-to person in the absence of the Production Manager/Assistant Manager.
Schedule Requirements: Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food Safe Level 1 (Islands West to Provide).
- Hepatitis A Vaccination (Islands West to Provide).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (English).
- Ability to supervise 5-20 staff.
- Previous produce, kitchen and/or supervisor experience.
- Ability to safely bend, twist and lift to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Ability to learn and apply knife skills.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Production Line duties include producing high-quality fresh-cut fruits and vegetables for local foodservice and retail markets; learning to use dicers, cutters, slicers, and packaging equipment.
- Ensures completion of and review daily production quality check sheets.
- Regularly review the progress of work in the department to ensure that staff are supported, questions have been answered, and problems solved.
- Help ensure that the quality and freshness of produce is always maintained throughout the department.
- Supports the production management team with coordinating and scheduling the timely processing of products according to customer requirements.
- Take direction from the Production Manager and keep them informed of department activities on an on-going basis.
- Operate or perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager.
- In the absence of production manager/assistant manager performs duties of production manager including but not limited to:
- Submitting work orders for items needing repair or maintenance
