OVERVIEW:

This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager. As our facility continues to aggressively increase in productivity and lower its manufacturing costs, there is a need to recruit a Production Supervisor to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and materials.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing management.
  • Must have good attention to details, while also managing the big picture.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deal easily with competing priorities on a daily basis.

  • Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills.

  • Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the manufacturing function with a bottom line result.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a team based manufacturing environment.
  • Strong MS Office and MRP systems background.
  • Previous experience supervising people.
  • AS degree - BS degree in manufacturing or engineering or related discipline is preferred, with a strong foundation in business administration.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the direction of assigned production resources to ensure optimum manufacturing performance with regard to minimizing cost and achieving the highest possible levels of quality and delivery in accordance with the approved business plan. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the managing of hourly direct labor associates in the assigned manufacturing areas and shift. This position is also responsible for effectively managing cross-functional relationships with other departments to support effective use of manpower, materials, and equipment, as well as productivity improvement initiatives.
