BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a US Postal clearance
  • US Citizenship or Green card holder
  • Experience in developing and supporting software applications using multiple technologies, including Java, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, and Visual Basic.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with end users to define new software system requirements.
  • Experience in training and instructing end users on software application usage.
  • Proficient in authoring or contributing to various software-related documentation, such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals.
  • Possess extensive expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex business, accounting, and management information systems.
  • Proficient in SQL with the ability to comprehend and write intricate SQL queries utilizing select statements, views, joins, indexing, and report data creation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing UNIX commands to manage production Linux servers, including the development and maintenance of shell scripts for application maintenance tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing SQL queries on Oracle Databases for database lookups.
  • Proficient in facilitation skills to effectively lead real-time Production Support Application Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Peraton is seeking a Senior Production Support Analyst to join our innovative team of qualified, diverse individuals.

DAY TO DAY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Support Analyst is responsible for working across designated teams to ensure applications are fully available to all stakeholders and USPS customers.

  • This individual will assist development teams in deployments, routine patching and system application monitoring / troubleshooting.
  • Analyze and evaluate complex data file processing, help translate customer reporting requirements and create reports, and provide application testing and validations.
  • Lead incident response calls and contribute / create after action reports.
  • Autonomously carry out daily operational tasks within high-visibility programs or supervising mission-critical aspects of projects.
  • Oversee and managing direct reporting resources or entire teams assigned to specific tasks.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members as part of day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Lead as a Critical Incident Manager to restore production applications during critical events.
