Description:
An enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ individual, with a strong mechanical background and good interpersonal/organisation skills is required to fill this role. The successful applicant will have a strong technical background and minimum 2 years of experience in a medium/high volume mechanical/manufacturing environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Educated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mid/high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in use of structured problem-solving techniques.
- Good “can do” attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- ‘Hands-on’ abilit
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with practical application of Six Sigma tools, including though not exclusive to using Statistical Process Control, Gauge Studies & Process Capability.
- Experience in use of Excel and related business intelligence tools for data analysis.
- Experience in practical application of Industry 4.0 real time data analytics, including though not exclusive to using Power BI, SQL, and VBA/Excel/
- Experience in practical application of Lean Projects.
- Experience in Design, Validation & Implementation of assembly fixtures.
- Experience using and interpreting technical drawings including GD&T’s
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support manufacturing processes and provide process improvements to existing products.
- To define and validate manufacturing process for upgrade products or new products.
- Support mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures and purpose-built test equipment.
- Process analysis and Product Quality reporting.
- To work closely with other Engineers and Production Staff to drive quality standards and improvements.
- To work closely with Product Designers to ensure the product is designed for assembly.
