Business Professional Support - Law and International
Salary: National ranging from £25,000 to £29,150 and London £27,500 to £32,000 per annum

About the team
LPI is a friendly and welcoming department. We provide legal advice on a wide range of FCA Enforcement issues, including international investigations and policy development. The important work we do helps the FCA tackle financial crime and prevent harm to consumers.
What you will be doing
As the Professional Support to multiple team managers, you will play a key role in contributing to the smooth and effective running of the department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing diaries for multiple managers, remaining flexible to short-notice changes
  • Co-ordinating attendance of external meetings, including meeting room bookings, travel, accommodation, and expenses
  • Managing joiner/mover/leaver IT requirements and resolving ad-hoc issues or queries on behalf of the managers
  • Working alongside local Personal Assistants (to the Heads of Department and the Director) to coordinate the department’s administrative activities, including ensuring there is adequate administrative cover

The skills and experience you’ll have

Minimum

  • Experience of strong diary management using Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience managing key administrative tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Essential

  • Sound knowledge of Outlook or other similar packages, and the ability to get up to speed quickly with new systems
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritising, working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Flexibility to adapt & react to changing circumstances, reprioritising as necessary
  • Ability to handle staff confidential & sensitive data with a high degree of discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to build good working relationships & networks
  • Strong oral communication skills, in particular an ability to summarise key ‘need to know’ issues in a timely fashion
