JOB SUMMARY

The McKeil School of Business requires part time Marketing Professors with subject matter expertise and practitioner experience in any of these areas:

  • Content Marketing
  • Digital Marketing including Social Media Management
  • Direct Marketing
  • Adobe Suite and Graphic Design
  • Marketing Generalist
  • Advertising and Public Relations
  • Sales and CRM

Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Professors in this department are responsible for providing academic leadership to develop an effective learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant will have:

  • A university degree in Commerce or Business, ideally with a specialization in Marketing
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a marketing, sales or graphic design role
  • Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.

The successful candidate must have an ability to relate theoretical knowledge and practical applications through innovative delivery methods so as to provide a meaningful learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and ages. The ability to work as a part of a team and demonstration of excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Faculty members hired at Mohawk College must be prepared to teach with a learner-centered approach and to assist in the development and application of alternate delivery methods. They may be assigned to teach classes at any College Campus.

Responsibilities:

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create a positive learning environment in the classroom and computer labs
  • Provide innovative educational delivery and experiences through the use of online educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), for in-class delivery. Use a variety of techniques to evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes
  • Develop, deliver and revise learning resources
  • Please note: our Marketing program courses are taught in-person at the Fennell campus
