ABOUT YOU
We are currently seeking to appoint a full Professor in Archaeology with a specialization in Near Eastern or East Mediterranean archaeology, focusing on field archaeology within the ancient Near East and Eastern Mediterranean regions spanning from the Bronze Age to the conclusion of the Achaemenid Persian Period. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in leading archaeological fieldwork projects, coupled with a proven track record of excellence in both teaching and research.
Qualifications and attributes sought include:
- Possession of a completed PhD in the Archaeology of the ancient Near East or Eastern Mediterranean civilizations.
- An internationally recognized publication record characterized by distinction and innovation.
- Demonstrated success in securing nationally and/or internationally competitive research grants.
- Ability to effectively supervise honours and postgraduate coursework degree theses.
- A comprehensive list detailing the key selection criteria is provided in the attached position description document.
This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check.
