Description:

Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time Program Assistant, Health Sciences in the Health Sciences Division. The starting salary is $24.32 /hr for a 24-hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Welland Campus.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Nursing and PSW Studies, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the School of Nursing and PSW, and the School of Allied Health, in all aspects of day-to-day operations. The incumbent works independently and maintains professionalism while providing excellent customer service when communicating with the College staff, students, the general public and industry representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) year diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, similar field of study.
- Minimum two (2) years practical experience in office administration.
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.
- Proven abilities in working independently, exercising initiative and good judgement, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
- Strong customer-service and public-relations skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to the associate deans by resolving or triaging routine enquiries/concerns from students, staff, and the public.
- Organizing and maintaining records including confidential personal files related to staff and students.
- Processing payments for contract services and monitoring accounts payable requisitions
- Supporting the associate deans with inputting work assignments, scheduling requirements, and related reports.
- Overseeing office supplies and equipment maintenance and operation.
- Organizing meetings including distribution of agenda, advance reading material, minutes, etc.,
- Creating reports associated with program review, accreditation, and approval.
- Completing part-time payroll processes.
- Ordering textbooks and manuals for the Health Sciences Division.
- Peoplesoft reports; class lists, transcripts, etc.
- Providing administrative support to faculty.
