JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS
Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Sepsis Coordinator is primarily responsible for achieving excellence in clinical outcomes management and performance improvement in sepsis management and other quality metrics. The Sepsis Coordinator partners with physicians, nursing, clinical documentation specialist, and informatics and analyst team to evaluate focused clinical outcomes in sepsis and process measures to ensure timely delivery of evidence-based practices and widespread dissemination of results and opportunities for improvement.
The Sepsis Program Coordinator also acts as a consultant in the clinical setting as a subject matter expert maintaining and promoting evidence based clinical practice standards. Familiarity with CMS Core Measure requirements for Sepsis, Severe Sepsis and general quality metrics.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ Years of experience in a healthcare setting
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
