Description:

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) serves as the primary organisation representing the psychiatry medical specialty in Australia and New Zealand. Our mission focuses on training, educating, and advocating for psychiatrists in both countries, with a vision for excellence and equity in the provision of mental health care.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

In this role, you will oversee the delivery of key quality improvement projects in post-graduate education and training, programs development and curriculum enhancement, development of education policies and other initiatives that reflect educational strategies and contemporary best practice.
This role will oversee progress and delivery of a range of projects in education that address the accreditation requirements of the Australian Medical Council (AMC), and any program quality improvements associated with educational priorities and initiatives.
You will manage a small team and oversee the delivery of the projects, working closely with the College stakeholders, withing set timelines and budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage and consult with stakeholders, as Trainees, Fellows, staff, committees, and other external stakeholders for successful project outcomes.
  • Develop content for online learning materials and working with Instructional Designers to produce and launch online content.
  • Lead and oversee program development and project activities, planning, and delivery milestones.
  • Liaise with the Digital Education Services to identify changes, opportunities and new functionality for online administration systems and oversee the implementation of system updates.
  • Identify policy gaps and lead the policy/regulation implementation to reflect the changing programs and requirements in training and assessment.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in education or health systems/public health, and/or demonstrated experience in training and education development in a complex environment.
  • Experience in curriculum design and education, and policy development with an understanding of adult education principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparation of high-level reports and well- developed presentation skills to a diverse audience.
  • Exceptional project, change and stakeholder management experience in post-graduate /medical education environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading professional teams in a dynamic and evolving organisation.
  • Experience in working in a membership-based organisation, post-graduate education, educational project delivery or specialist medical training.
  • Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
