THE OPPORTUNITY
The client is seeking a Program Financial Specialist to assist the Technology Group, develop effective financial and reporting practices and to provide accurate and timely financial and resource information and advice across sets of projects and other procurement areas, to better inform investment decisions. The successful applicant will have excellent analytical and investigative skills and enjoy active engagement with staff to elicit information and provide budget spend and forecast advice.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Analysing and interpreting project financial data to assist the executive with business decisions.
- Developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Monitoring spend trends and providing actionable insights to assist with managing budgets.
- Eliciting accurate and contemporary information from project managers and delivery leads to prepare reports.
- Collaborating with internal Groups to streamline operations and financial processes.
- Effectively communicating project financial information to non-financial staff, clients, or stakeholders.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of project procedures.
- Managing financial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity.
- Auditing and tracking resource capacity for programs and projects
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Experience undertaking financial and resource activities in organisation systems such as; TechOne, Aurion, SAP, Concur.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bachelor in Finance or 5 years relevant experience.
- Working knowledge and experience using project tools such as; DevOps, Jira, GitHub, Confluence.
