Description:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in design change or project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.
  • Core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% across projects.
  • English language communication skills, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to understand the audience and customer.

    Amazon is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Program Manager to support the Design Change Management program in the EMEA Change Management team within the Engineering Services organization to play a critical role in managing Amazon’s fast growth and technology innovation needs. The successful candidate will be a natural self-starter, highly motivated individual and have a strong level of ownership. This individual will report to the Sr. Manager for Change Management and will support other teams to deliver fulfillment network capacity on time.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the change management system, process, and documentation for Requests for Information (RFIs), Design Change Requests (DCRs), and Design Cycle to successfully complete complex design change management goals across multiple building design programs.
  • Build relationships with leaders from multiple stakeholders to strengthen employee engagement and participation in changes
  • Work with peers to maintain cross programmatic Design Cycle Calendar.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues – solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment and sound decision making.
  • Lead improvement projects/Kaizen events to bring together cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and achieve targets performance improvement in a compressed timeframe.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs that optimize efficiency, drive automation efforts, and develop best practices.
  • Facilitate/run weekly alignment meetings on projects as well as program specific updates
  • This role requires occasional travels, up to 10% of the working time.

About the team

The Change Management Team is a pillar within the Central Services Team of the EMEA GES (Engineering Services org). The team’s focus is

  • To drive a customer friendly Change Management process and services to our internal customers (site delivery teams) in terms of decision velocity, process clarity and access to information.
  • To Maximize value to the business through multiplier effects of changes across the network (vis a vis single site changes), by driving standardization
  • To ensure a process with thorough evaluation of change requests, which leads to cost avoidance of changes that are not as beneficial/ impactful

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Luxembourg, LUX

  • MBA or Master’s Degree or other advanced degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent)
  • A track record of delivering high-quality projects in an atmosphere were speed, flexibility, and heavy workload are the expected norm.
  • Proven analytical skills including financial modeling.
  • Communication skills including proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams.
  • Experience leading projects and interacting with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and implementing process to streamline operations, and driving automation and standardization.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and in the general Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Relentlessly high standards and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment, identify and solve novel problems, and manage change.
  • Ability to tailor communication to a wide spectrum of members of the organization and explain technical concepts
  • German, French, Polish, Arabic are considered preferred qualification
