Description:
KEY COMPETENCIES
- You obtained a Master degree in preferably a Manufacturing-, Industrial-, or in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3-5 year experience in program management
- Having a MBA, PMP or PMI is a considered a plus
- Well-rounded experience in as many of the following areas: program management, applications engineering, quality, manufacturing, sales and purchasing
- Experience with working with customers in the Heavy Vehicle market desired
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing process and all standard automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Good understanding of APQP and Stage Gate program management techniques
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project software
- Understanding of financial analysis concepts and budget management
- Based in Bruges but willing and flexible to travel
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the regional European PM Lead for Off-Highway Drive and Motion Technologies:
- Provide leadership and responsibility of specific product or customer programs, including planning, implementation, follow-up, measurement, refinement & improvement of all tasks within the program. Meet milestone timing respecting all design, quality, production, financial deliverables.
- Assemble core program team and complete the program planning process to ensure development of a complete program plan and work breakdown structure.
- Plan and identify required staffing needs to the appropriate function in a timely manner. Coordinate the activities of all cross-functional team members to reach project goals. Manage project team conflicts, while maintaining team structure and supporting each team member’s authority.
- Plan, lead & conduct meetings and program status reviews. Communicate or present project status through reports and program management reviews at all levels.
- Plan and manage all budgets and costs associated with the program ensuring program profitability as planned. Monitor and optimize project cash flow through timely coordination of all purchase order releases.
- Ensure supplier quality and technical (SQA & STA) systems are in place using documented processes and coordinate the APQP Engineer deployment in conjunction with programs across the globe.
- Coordinate Development and Deployment of APQP methods from Advanced Engineering to Current Product Management and coordinate the teams to reach the APQP targets.
- Develop and maintain project-timing charts and project schedule as agreed between customer and company; monitor project’s concept, budget & schedule in compliance with customer specifications.
- Liaison with customer regarding program issues, including participation in their meetings.
- Ensure a change control and corrective action process is in place that aligns with Customers systems; Provide a robust process for change management according to Dana procedures. Support development and deployment of change management processes according to Dana’s quality standard within operations, engineering, purchasing, sales, etc;
- Support the plant during industrialization phase (design, capability, installation and prove-out of production equipment and tools) including procurement of capital equipment & compliance with all required codes.
- Manages and control the planning and implementation of Start Of Production Plans for all functional disciplines.
- Successfully manage the programs to 90 days post start of production (SOP) using the company’s program management stage gate and APQP processes.
