Description:

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Program Manager, Health Services who is responsible for supervision and management of Esperanza Health Services.
The Esperanza Center is a comprehensive resource center whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services, and the power to improve their lives. Since 1963, immigrants from all over the world have trusted the Esperanza Center to help them navigate life in a new country. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide services related to education, healthcare, immigration legal matters, family reunification, anti-trafficking, and general community support to thousands of immigrants each year.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience in human services and 3 years of progressive project management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Excellent Supervisory skills

REQUIREMENTS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English, and be culturally focused to deal with clients from diverse Latino/Hispanic and other immigrant backgrounds.
  • Excellent knowledge of case management and crisis intervention services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer/client concerns and grievances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate activities as appropriate.
  • Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e. Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive desired.

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial management of program budgets, including budget planning and preparation, management of revenues and expenses, and preparation of grant reports.
  • Provide direct supervision of program staff, interns and volunteers; including hiring, orienting, training, coaching and evaluating in accordance with ACC personnel policies and following procedures established by the Director.
  • In collaboration with program staff and the Director, lead strategic planning to ensure program sustainability and ongoing improvement.
  • Provide operational management and oversight to the program office space, including maintaining appropriate supply inventory.
  • In cooordination with the Operations Manager and Program Director, establish shared procedures for use and maintenance of physical office spaces including bathrooms, kitchen, and all other shared spaces.
  • Serves on the Management team, which involves attendance to weekly meetings, assistance with events, strategic planning, conducting outreach events, and representation at external meetings and events.
  • Other duties as assigned
