Qualifications
EDUCATION:
University / College Engineering Degree, Technician / Technologist Diploma
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years Engineering or 2+ years Program/Project Management
Skills
- A leader capable of working in a culturally diverse global team
- Program Management w/in Automotive industry or related field
- Encourage and coach team members with empathy, integrity, and honesty
- Strong knowledge of Automotive product development process, program management methodologies and quality management systems (ex. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.) Effective Negotiation skills
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve program objectives
- Success managing complex programs w/ CFT’s and global stakeholders
- An effective communicator capable of collaboration with internal and external customers
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability, capable to anticipate and address program-related risks and issues

Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Lead and manage global automotive programs from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and execute program management plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Establish clear program objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics, regularly monitor progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and efficient execution of program activities.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, establishing and maintaining strong relationships to understand their program requirements, expectations, and concerns.
- Collaborate with customers to define program scope, specifications, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with their needs and our capabilities.
- Provide regular program updates, address customer inquiries, and proactively identify opportunities to exceed customer expectations.
Cross-functional Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality, to ensure seamless program execution.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular team meetings, facilitate effective decision-making, and ensure accountability for program deliverables.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact program execution, assess their potential impact, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Proactively monitor and track program risks, taking corrective actions as necessary to keep the program on track.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions to address program-related challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management function, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve program management methodologies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and participate in continuous learning and development activities.
