Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the medical administration and legal aspects of the medical staff organization. Serve as the essential link between Hospital Leadership and the professional clinical staff to promote and enhance good communication and a positive working relationship. Responsible for the management and operational oversight of medical staff functions including working with the PSH centralized credentialing/re-credentialing department, privileging for medical staff and advanced practice providers, maintenance of governance documents and related processes, and responsibility for adhering to the requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies relating to the medical staff. Collaborates with Medical Staff Executive Committee, medical staff leaders, and all levels of senior and mid-level administration and management to support the medical staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Three (3) years of experience managing provider credentialing and privileging.
