Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Moroka Program is a 10-bed unit that provides specialist mental health care, treatment and programs to prisoners with repetitive and entrenched complex and challenging behaviours associated with mental illness, predominately personality disorder. The program operates within a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy model. The Moroka Program Manager has responsibility and accountability for providing high-level management and direction for the overall operation of the program, including overseeing the delivery of the program, providing leadership and line management to staff in the program, and engaging with stakeholders regarding the operation of the program.
DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and management of the Moroka program
- Provide leadership, advice, line supervision, and mentoring to Moroka staff
- Oversee service delivery of the program, including recruitment of staff
- Ensure the program team meets legislative requirements
- Initiate and coordinate program and organisational projects and participate in committees that contribute to service development
