Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is an opportunity to include coordination of project charters, milestones and deliveries tracking, day to day operational support including project documentation, maintaining communication with internal and external collaborators, and regular update to senior leadership.
You will effectively work within a matrix environment to communicate and identify/resolve issues that could have implications to the broader organization and stakeholders. Have awareness of company processes/standards and how this impacts Computational Pathology Munich (CPM) deliverables. Create and contribute to processes. Demonstrate strategic influence and ability to communicate across the many levels within a global organization.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our digital pathology projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive a cross-functional project team in cooperation with scientific project lead
  • Define the interdependent deliverables and ensures the delivery of milestones within the agreed parameters by creating timelines and tracking progress
  • Effectively apply appropriate project management methodologies (traditional, Agile, hybrid)
  • Ensure that estashed practices and processes are applied within assigned projects
  • Organize and facilitate project team meetings, ensuring clear agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
  • Plan and execute strategic and operational activities across projects and teams
  • Allocate resources to individual projects and support resource planning and tracking across the portfolio
  • Contribute to operational business planning by accurately managing and monitoring resource forecasts for the department portfolio
  • Implement lean tools and methodologies into daily operation
  • Support general operational management of the department as needed
  • Create and present engaging presentations for senior management and various audiences

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE

  • Proven project and process management skills with experience in medium to large scale cross-functional projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills, with strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely within an international matrix environment
  • Strong experience in facilitating project team meetings and decision-making, while ensuring alignment with stakeholders and consensus building
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork and stakeholder management skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with different functions within organization
  • Proficiency in creating engaging slide decks using Microsoft PowerPoint, with demonstrated experience in delivering impactful presentations
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, including priority setting and time management
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive approach and a mindset of continuous improvement

DESIRABLE FOR THE ROLE

  • Diverse experience in the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry; experience in software industry is a plus
  • Master’s in Life Sciences or equivalent experience; PhD or MBA is a plus
  • Certification in Project Management and knowledge in Agile way of working (Kanban, scrum)
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, and PLANIT software
  • Ability to drive initiatives, anticipate problems, and achieve objectives while maintaining a strategic perspective
  • Demonstration a composed, professional manner when dealing with issues, challenges, conflicts and opportunities
  • Creative, confident, and collaborative nature
