Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the Paramedic Licensing Scope of Practice (LSOP) course delivery and other program areas in the Health Science Division (HSD) including the Paramedic Academy.
Responsibilities will include project planning, administration, and budget tracking, process mapping, communication and support, and development of business systems and effective internal procedures. This position will also be involved in supporting divisional staff with various curriculum and quality assurance projects including, but not limited to, the preparation of documents for program development, program change, accreditation, and recognition for licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar administrative capacity, preferably within an education setting
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro experience with strong formatting and data management skills
- Intermediate to advanced level Blackboard and Colleague experience
- Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong collaborative leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
Responsibilities:
- Works with faculty, program assistants, program planners, regional training coordinators, and program managers, supports all aspects of course delivery for the Paramedic LSOP courses
- Participates in implementation planning such as developing course schedules to meet enrolment targets and student needsParticipates in the development, tracking, and monitoring of program budgets
- Confirms, creates, and communicates instructional assignments to faculty for tuition and contract activity
- Verifies instructional contracts and expense sheets and ensures invoices are processed in a timely mannerParticipates in the development of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient program review, development, and delivery
- Participates in budget tracking and financial document management
- Facilitates consistency across HSD with respect to data integrity and records management
- Provides support to divisional managers and participates in divisional work teams preparing documentation for new program approval, program changes, program recognition for licensure, etc., in support of educational excellence in programming
- Develops written documents, such as helping to draft, proof, review, and edit divisional guidelines, policies, and procedures, technical manuals, and online course content under the direction
- Participates as an active team member supporting HSD projects and activities
- Performing other related duties as assigned
