TOOL/AREA KNOWLEDGE:

  • 5 years Agile and/or Project Management experience minimum (must have).
  • Passion for technology and wanting to excel their career in Project/ Program Management (must have).
  • A degree or higher in a related field of business (must have).
  • Professional Project Management accreditation (must have).
  • Excel, MS Project & Power Point proficient (must have) Power BI (nice to have).
  • Agile certification (must have).
  • Knowledge and Experience managing projects in JIRA (must have).

Responsibilities:

YOUR TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

As the successful Program Manager you will be confident, well organized, able to communicate well with all Technology and Business stakeholders and manage all risks and issues to prompt closure. Additionally, you have the ability to work independently and manages resources across functions to meet commitments. You will have a passion for technology, project management and agile methodologies with the ambition to become a future leader. You will be part of the Business Technology Program Management function and evaluated based on competency in planning, delivery and achieving the project goals. You will lead and drive projects from inception to general availability: idea, business case, prioritization, design, deployment and operation. You will gradually be part of the technical discussions and contribute to design and architecture.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Manager/ Scrum Master (Hybrid) role:

  • Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Proactive communication of external risks. Accountable for managing dependencies and removing blockers or constraints that are, or could, impact the project or the program.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the Business and Technology goals. Work in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Provide effective, succinct, and clear updates to the project’s stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues early, and create contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and ensure they are circulated to stakeholders throughout project life cycle.
  • Enable conditions that would facilitate the definition of the MVP as clearly as possible, so the team can properly define a set of user stories/epics, from where a backlog can be produced. Assist in the documentation of the MVP definition.
  • Work closely with project and product stakeholders to ensure that the direction of the development team is always in line with the requirements.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Gain a good understanding of the technology being deployed to ask the key questions and be involved in decision making.
  • Own the process and be held accountable for enhancing team performance.
  • Facilitators who help get things done. They ensure the whole team is heard, and conversations are not dominated by a few.
  • Help protect the team from interruptions, and they help the team remove impediments that slow them down.
  • Coach the Scrum team on Agile best practices.
  • Working in an agile way using prioritization methods such as WSJF, minimal viable product, SCRUM, Kanban, story points and other agile methods.
  • Working with other project/Programme managers to build program roadmaps.
  • Manage & identify upstream and downstream dependencies and impacts of decisions being made in the Programme/project in question.
  • Ability to facilitate large meetings whist ensuring meetings are not derailed.
  • Hold Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums & Retrospectives.
  • Ensure project teams are maintaining velocity.
