Description:

Under the general direction of the Northern Region’s Section Manager, the Program Specialist III functions as the program’s leading authority in the area of multistate and multinational corporation tax. The Program Specialist III acts as a technical consultant to field staff on audits of the largest and most sensitive groups of affiliated corporations, engaged in an integrated business in a specialized industry, with unique and unresolved tax issues. The Program Specialist III analyzes audit cases to determine the reasons for delay in completion and recommend alternative approaches to complete the audit. The position also requires travel in and out of state for audits and training as needed.

  • Must have the ability/flexibility to travel overnight for work assignments
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
