Description:

Are you an experienced practitioner in Simulation and Human Factors? Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting vacancy for a Human Factors and Simulation programme Lead. (Full time but would consider 30 hrs for the right candidate)
This role is key to the Trusts Patient Safety Agenda, so the key priorities for this role are to p rovide team leadership for the Simulation team, being responsible for the day to day management of the Simulation team and develop a forward thinking, innovative service, working closely with the Medical Simulation Leads and the Resuscitation and Simulation Service Lead.
We have a well equipped dedicated Simulation Suite consisting of 3 simulation rooms which incudes 2 immersive suites and sits in a modern purpose built Education Centre. We deliver both centrally delivered and in -situ simulation to a wide range of students, medical trainees and Advanced level practitioners within the trust.
You would be supported by 2.6 Band 6 Simulation Clinical skills tutors and a Technician and work alongside the Resuscitation training Team, reporting to the Resuscitation & Simulation Service Lead.

AS PROGRAMME LEAD YOU WILL ENSURE:

High quality Human Factors training programmes are planned and delivered which support the HF/Patient Safety Strategy for both clinical and non-clinical staff, embedding knowledge of HF across the Trust.
Planned and structured provision of high quality, simulation sessions to meet the needs of students, trainees and staff.
Provision of high quality in situ-simulation scenarios to support clinical services.
Take an active part in the design, planning, facilitation, and teaching of HF & simulation sessions, ensuring high quality educational standards which support the development of clinical competence across a range of healthcare professionals, in line with agreed Directorate, Trust and HEI outcomes, strategies and priorities.
Develop other Clinical Skills Tutors /Educators to be able to deliver Human Factors training across all aspects of Clinical Skills, Organisational Development and Continuous Improvement Education.
Ensure the learning and actions from incidents and reviews are integrated into education programmes.
Support the implementation of new simulation technology.
Ensure the contractual obligations in relation to set Educational outcomes, HEI contracts, guidelines and statutory and mandatory requirements for assurance are met.
Ensure achievement against ASPiH standards.
Provide advice and information to colleagues and staff.

Responsibilities:
