Description:

The Programme Manager is responsible for the overall development, management and delivery of specific work streams across the range of GEH Operational Planning, Strategy Development, Improvement and Business Development Programmes. This is a wide-ranging programme of work that encompasses clinical services, operational efficiency, care pathway development and linked to the emerging Warwickshire North Care Collaborative and across partner Coventry & Warwickshire ICS organisations. Reporting to a designated member of the Co-ordination Cell Leadership Team, the post holder will lead on the delivery of a varied and complex portfolio of component projects designed to deliver clear outcomes and financial and quality benefits to tight and defined timescales in accordance with recognised and agreed management principles. In particular that projects and work streams are delivered on time, within budget, to the agreed specification and scope and to the agreed quality standards.
This will involve the production of plans and documentation through the project lifecycle, ensuring all identified objectives are met, risks are managed and benefits released from the implementation of new clinical models / pathways and ways of working. Post holders will be required to work within matrix delivery project teams made up of project staff employed by a range of place partners, deployed to work under the direction of the Co-ordination Cell. The Co-ordination cell has responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery assurance of Place Transformation and Service Improvement alongside delivery of the GEH Improvement Programmes and Directorate Service Development Plans. Delivery will require the engagement of clinical teams, service managers, senior leaders and individuals from a wide range of partners across all levels of their organisation and will demand significant redesign, service improvement and implementation of best practice and high impact actions and a focus on stream lined efficient processes.
There will be a focus on proportional project documentation with a focus on efficient delivery and mobilisation of projects with streamlined governance, whilst assuring appropriate oversight and tracking of delivery and management of risks. You will lead change management and service improvement, with a focus on operational delivery and PDSA cycles to enable front line teams to understand and diagnose issues to develop effective solutions and champion implementation. You will provide continuity in leadership to support management of change working with clinicians and other relevant professionals across health social care and community and third sector as appropriate to the project. Responsible for building engagement with partner members of the project team and ensuring appropriate stakeholder management within the change projects.
