Responsibilities:
In this new role, the Project Accountant will be based out of our Vancouver Office and will be responsible for full cycle project accounting functions, while working closely with the finance and project teams.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for full cycle project accounting.
- Manage project setup, maintenance, billing, WIP and project closure in the ERP system that align with business needs, AES accounting procedures and regulations during project cycle from initiation to closeout.
- Monitor and review all project transactions and costs for accuracy and completeness. Identify areas of potential project gross margin improvement.
- Maintain project cash flow and follow up with clients on outstanding AR.
- Manage project subconsultant, vendor AP and payments.
- Build strong relationships with and serve as a trusted advisor to our internal teams including Project Managers and Project Administrators in responding to various queries regarding project spent, billed, payment status, and variances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist with special projects, assignments, and Ad hoc requests.
