Responsibilities:

As the Project Accountant with Hines, you will oversee the accounting and control of development projects from initiation through finalization. The candidate should be able to partner with the Controller to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and budgets and perform treasury functions including cash management and cash flow projections. The role also manages project financials covering project liquidity, funding, expenditure, cashflow, projections and variances. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Controller to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and budgets.
  • Perform treasury functions including cash management and cash flow projections.
  • Manages project financials covering project liquidity, funding, expenditure, cashflow, projections and variances.
  • Manages the quarterly and year end management accounts of the respective investments.
  • Responsible for high quality reports throughout the annual cycle towards stakeholders ranging across the management levels in the organisation.
  • Coordinate audits (external, internal, etc.) and prepare information for these audits as needed.
  • Monitoring and liaising with the various service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
  • Facilitate production of the annual business plan for relevant projects in close collaboration with the Asset Management team and Controller on selected projects.
  • Throughout the projects’ duration ensure delivery on assigned deliverables – e.g. due diligence processes and in-depth analysis, and more operational tasks, such as ensuring account setup, Hines software setup, etc
  • Implements and refines processes and procedures across the project finance function.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in business with a specialty in accounting. Further demonstration of accounting qualifications.
  • Seven or more years of post-qualification experience and has experience from the real estate industry. They will have overseen the accounting and control of development projects from initiation through finalization.
  • MS Office, including high level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Professional Danish and English, written and spoken language.
  • Works well under empowerment and is self-driving on key areas of responsibility.
  • Highly structured and organized.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Focused on detail.
  • Cooperative with strong personal drive.
  • Possess diplomatic skills.
  • Able to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
