TalentWorld is recruiting a Project Accountant in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly expense summaries and reconcile budget variances for clients.
- Generate accurate billing invoices and reconcile budgets on a monthly basis.
- Compile corporate financial statements, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and manage month-end entries.
- Handle depreciation reports, fixed asset additions, and disposals.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage Ceridian payroll uploads.
- Ensure timely filing of GST and WSIB returns, monitoring compliance.
- Monitor daily bank balances and cash flow, providing insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic financial planning.
- Assist in improving financial systems and processes for efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
- Support external auditors during financial audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project accounting within a warehouse/logistics environment.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles and cost control.
- Proficiency in project accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
- Knowledge of contract management and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in financial reporting, auditing support, and forecasting.

Employment Details
- Salary: $60.000 Annual Salary
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Hybrid
- Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
