Description:

Coast Construction Group is a growing Commercial General Contractor headquartered in downtown Arlington, WA. We also have an office in Lancaster, California. We are a design-build contractor specializing in logistics, warehousing, and commercial projects. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and can work independently. This position deals directly with prospective clients, current clients, and the project team and always represents our company professionally.
Assists and supports the PM team by helping with the permitting process, managing contracts, managing change orders, and other administrative aspects of construction projects. Helps ensure timely communication between the PM and Accounting Department.

REQUIRED CRITERIA/EXPERIENCE

5-7 years min. of experience in customer service/administration.
Construction experience is preferred, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Professional appearance and attitude, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to represent Coast Construction Group in a positive and professional manner.
Thorough knowledge of coordination and scheduling
Proficient at reading, writing, and comprehending contractual legal documents and/or draft addendums.
PC literate for correspondence spread sheet tracking, and project management coordination, including basic skills with MS Office. MS Project a plus.
Demonstrates established and consistent methods of multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Assign job numbers, create binders, and create job files for all new prospective jobs with all pertinent information from owner/architect.
Help Estimators/PM’s put together bid packages and organize bids as they come in.
Review bid packages before they are sent to clients to ensure that all bidding requirements have been met and that the bid package is complete.
Assist Estimators and PM’s in executing proposals to clients.
Assist Estimators and PM’s in executing contracts with subcontractors.
Collect monthly billing from Subcontractors and work with PM to ensure that billing is correct.
Exporting Job Proposal in Sage when contracts are awarded and budget.
Update job budget in Sage with help from PM.
Manage subcontractor compliance ensuring that all necessary insurance and licensing is in place before their work begins.
Assist PMs with writing and sending change orders to clients. Complete necessary steps in Sage software to mark change order as pending.
Change status of pending change orders in Sage when response is received from client.
When a client approves a change order, send corresponding change orders to all impacted subcontractors.
Assists with sending and tracking submittals and RFI’s that have been approved by the PM.
Assist PMs with assigned tasks.
